AIAP’s February 2024 Hike

The AIAP hike for this month will be at Volcan Mountain Trail.  

When: Sunday February 18, 2024

Time: 7:30 AM (we will meet at 7:15am and carpool at 7:30am sharp)

Volcan Mountain Trail is a 5.3 miles lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Julian, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate.  Volcan mountain is 5300 ft high, with great views to the Sultan lake and Anza Borega desert to the east and the Pacific ocean to the west.

Volcan Mountain Trail is approximately one hour drive from North County Fair. We will carpool from our meeting location.  Be advised that there might be snow on the trail.  Dress according to weather conditions, boots, wool hat and high insulation jacket.
